How to Make a Chicken Waterer

Here's an easy and super cheap way to make a chicken waterer. You can possibly make it for free, using all recycled materials. (I made mine for $1.00 because I found a cake pan at a dollar store.)

What You Need:

1. A hammer

2. A nail or screw driver

3. An empty #10 can (which you can get for free from resturants, schools, daycares, hospitals, etc.--just ask--most places recycle them so it will even be clean for you!)

4. 9 or 10 inch cake pan (which you can get at a dollar store for a buck!)Illustrated steps

Steps:

1. Hammer a hole in your can about 3/4 inch from the end that has the top cut out of it. Make sure, before you hammer the hole, that the hole is lower than the side of your cake pan). Hammer a similar hole on the other side of the can so they're opposite each other.

2. Fill the can with water.

3. Place the cake pan on top of the filled can of water and carefully turn the whole thing upside down so that the cake pan is on the bottom.

The water will flow out of the holes and fill up the cake pan. As the chickens drink the water, it will automatically refill as long as there is water in the can.

When empty, simply repeat step 2 and 3....simple...easy...and pretty close to free! How can you go wrong with this one??
