Flies in Compost
Do the flies swarming around your compost bin
make you ready to throw the towel in
on your composting project?
Here's a simple solution....
This fly solution comes from the book
Diary of a Compost Hotline Operator
by Spring Gillard
Mix two drops of
dish soap with two drops of vinegar.
Add 1/3 cup of fruit juice.
Place all of this in a small dish
and set in a compost bin.
Apparently the flies gravitate to the mixture
and die in the dish.
A dish full of dead flies might be kinda gross...
but considering the alternative it seems rather pleasant!
