Happy Hour Drink Recipes
(Fresh from the Garden!)

We're probably all familiar with the concept of
growing your own food for dinner...
but what about for happy hour??
Here's a handful of drinks that require fresh ingredients
you can pick from your garden.
This is just a small collection to whet your appetite!
(All recipes are for one serving unless noted otherwise).

 

Blackberry Mojito

4 blackberries (or berry or fruit of choice), crushed
4 sprigs of mint
3 lime wedges
1 1/2 oz. rum
Lemon Lime soda to taste

Add backberries, mint and lime together. Mix in rum. Add ice. Fill remaining space in glass with lemon lime soda (or to taste).

 

Cucumber Mint Gin and Tonic

2 slices of cucumber
2 sprigs of mint
3 oz. gin
4 oz. tonic
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
Add ice, shake and drink.

 

Ginger Mint Caipirinha

1 lime, quartered
1 1/2 tablespoon ginger syrup
1 sprig mint
2 oz. cachaca
1 quarter-sized slice raw ginger

Shake together and serve over ice.

 

Sangria

750 ml bottle red or white wine
1 liter lemon lime soda
1 orange
2 limes
1 cup fresh pineapple
several sprigs mint

Chop fruit into bite sized pieces. Add wine. Slowly add soda to taste. Serves 4-6.

 

Strawberry Infusion

750 ml vodka
2-3 sprigs rosemary
6 sliced strawberries

Add rosemary and strawberries to bottle of vodka. Seep for 2 weeks. Shake. Strain. Serve over ice. Serves 4-6.
